The Happy Slip
Today I presented my 20% Pitch! How did that go? Well, i'll just say that i wasn't TOO awkward hahaha. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. It was so nice to see everyone's projects and what they are interested in. Also, it was fun having a "bowl of happiness" full of things that I thought would make people happy, or at least smile! The downer was when people were just like, "what." The thing that worked well for me was when I just let loose, and was myself so I could "draw" people in persay. It was nice knowing that I was funny, who would have ever thought that?!(; I think the thing that really made my day was when people I never even met would say, "I really like you're topic, it's my favorite one so far," or "G-Anne, YOU make me happy!" That made me realize that my project is worthwhile. Next time, I will try to get more people to come see my stuff, oh and I will definitely change where I set up because I don't thing my spot was the best place to be! OH, food is what I will bring next time!...if I remember, but food really drew in the crowd. If I were to make any adjustments to my blog, it would probably be updating it more often now with more things like videos, so I can not just tell people what i'm doing, but show them as well! I'm super excited to see the outcome of today, and what lies ahead!(: My favorite part of the day was saying, "Would you like a slip of happiness?"

Little Talk
“Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you'll look back and realize they were big things.”
![]() |
Isn't that true? Day by day we tend to overlook the little things and take them all for granted. As I was on Tumblr, I stumbled upon a quote that I thought fit perfectly, "The little things in life are the ones that make life worth living." Imagine how your day would be if nobody smiled at you, opened the door for you, or even said hello to you! Would you even want to get out of bed? Smiles and "hellos" aren't the only things that we tend to take for granted. On Tiny Buddha, it shows "40 Little Things That Make a Big Difference in Your Day." These include: Children playing, reminding you to be joyful, The moment after the rain stops. Everything smells clean, fresh, and revitalized, Finding money you didn't know you had, A sweater straight from the dryer on a cold day, Something so funny it makes you laugh out loud, and The feeling of sand between your toes are just 6 of the many little things that can make our day! On Little Things, there is a quote which states, "Sometimes, you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory." Everywhere you look, little things surround you! Take that moment, and breathe in the fullness of life. If you ever need some cheering up or a smile, fill your day with laughter and joy on weheartit.com, justlittlethings.net, www.kellehampton.com, tinybuddha.com,

The Little Flower
The little things! That's what this blog's about right?
Not only is it for us to enjoy the little things in life, but also doing little things to help others. As I was talking with my mentor, she mentioned how Saint Therese of Lisieux did not help in big ways, but served God in small ways, which in return made a big effect in the long run! Therese was know as "The Little Flower" and had shown people the way of perfection in the small things of every day life. Isn't that incredible? Not to mention that she was only 8 years old when this all started. Even though she couldn't contribute in big ways, she still made an effort to help! So next time you see that kid who always sits alone at lunch, don't hesitate to invite them over or even a simple smile and hello may just make their day! The little things is not only for you to enjoy, but for you to spread the happiness with others as well!Your little ways, may have big effects in people's lives! Make the little things count :)

From A Different Perspective
View things from a different perspective. Enjoy the little things in life! Spending 20% of my time on something that I enjoy, and has a big piece of my heart is incredible. In school, my English class was assigned a "20% Project" based on a "TED" video. The purpose of this project is for students to spend 20% of their time on something they enjoy and want to share with others. My project will be based on enjoying the little things in life! Whether it's finding joy in the warmth of a person's smile or a simple "hello," I want to share that you can find happiness in anything! I know, i know; it's easier said than done, but hey! If you set your mind to it and say "hey, maybe this can work," then there you go! Anyways, we all know that life isn't all sunshine and rainbows, but if you can take a breath and find something that can make you smile, that's what counts! For all we know, tomorrow isn't guaranteed, so make the little things count! You never know; maybe you holding the door open for someone or just acknowledging their presence may have made their day. It's not just about making yourself happy, but also spreading the joy and kindness to others. To help me throughout this journey, I am having my Confirmation sponsor, Mary, be my "mentor." She is such an incredible person and has enough love and happiness for the world! I cannot wait to see the outcome of this project because it is so near and dear to my heart.
: our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
